About
Priya Patel is a first-year medical student at the University of Calgary. Prior to this, she completed her BSc in Health Studies at the University of Waterloo and her MSc in Epidemiology at the University of Alberta.
Priya’s academic interests include social epidemiology, mental health, equitable healthcare access, and women’s health. At the Upstream Lab, she is currently working on research looking at primary care for adults who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. Priya is passionate about community service and using research to drive meaningful change.
