About

The Upstream Lab was founded in 2016 by Dr. Andrew Pinto to bring together a number of linked projects and initiatives. It is based in the Centre for Urban Health Solutions, in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. The Upstream Lab was developed to create a space to advance thinking, research, education and collaboration around addressing the social determinants of health.
