Building a foundation to reduce health inequities: routine collection of socio-demographic data in primary care

This article reports lessons learned from the collection of sociodemographic data within a Canadian family medicine clinic. It was examined whether it was feasible and acceptable to ask patients about sociodemographic variables through a tablet-based survey administered in the waiting room.
