Sophia is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto St. George Campus, and a Keenan Research Summer Student (KRSS) at the Upstream Lab. In her undergraduate studies, she is doing a Specialist program in Health and Disease alongside a Global Health major, where she has developed a strong passion for infectious disease research, epidemiology, and pandemic prevention. At the Upstream Lab, Sophia will be supporting the PREPARED project and a scoping review evaluating One Health approaches to public health preparedness and governance.
