Sara Omar is a Research Coordinator II at the Upstream Lab. She holds an MSc in Global Health from McMaster University. Prior to joining the Upstream Lab, Sara coordinated research at The Hospital for Sick Children and McMaster University, with experience in qualitative and mixed-methods research and a particular interest in co-design. Her research interests include health equity, the social determinants of health, and improving access to health and social services for newcomer and refugee communities. At the Upstream Lab, Sara supports research focused on homelessness and mental health.
