Samira Adus is a medical student at the University of Toronto and part-time research student at the Upstream Lab. She previously completed her Honours Bachelors in Medical Sciences at Western University. Samira is interested in the intersections of artificial intelligence and health equity and was a member of the inaugural T-CAIREM Summer Studentship cohort. At the Upstream Lab, she is currently investigating the ways in which patients can and should be engaged in AI development in healthcare.
