About
Anchor institutions are large, place-based entities, with significant economic and social capital that is leveraged to address social needs and ultimately create shared value. A scoping review was completed to explore the state of academic and grey literature on health care organizations and systems adopting anchor institute practices and more broadly investing in community needs. In tandem, Nada has also begun qualitative research to explore health system leaders’ perspectives on the feasibility of adopting an anchor mission within healthcare organizations and systems in Ontario.
