Building integrated, adaptive and responsive health care systems – lessons from paramedicine in Ontario, Canada
This study examined the experiences and perspectives of people involved with implementing ‘non-traditional’ models of paramedic practice in Ontario over the past two decades using the lens of integrated care. We set out to answer the following research questions: What have been the drivers, enablers and barriers to enacting new ‘integrated’ models of paramedic care in Ontario? What does this suggest for governing health systems towards being more integrated?
