Norm Umali joined the Upstream Lab in December 2022. Norm is a registered pharmacist practicing in Ontario with experience in community practice, research operations and public health. As community pharmacies further develop into sites where primary care is provided, Norm believes that community pharmacists across Canada can be unique partners in the development of high-quality research. At the Upstream Lab, Norm will be one of the study pharmacists for the CanTreatCOVID adaptive platform trial designed to identify effective and affordable medications so they can be more readily available in community settings.
