Ellah San Antonio is a York University alumna and holds a B.Sc., Spec. Hons. Degree in Global Health (Global Health Policy, Management, and Systems). She started as a practicum student at the lab back in January 2021 and officially joined the team in October 2021. Upstream lab’s commitment to develop and evaluate interventions that address Social Determinants of Health is what drew Ellah to the lab. During her time as a practicum student, she supported the EMPOWER project by recruiting and facilitating qualitative interviews. Through her experiences at the lab, her knowledge of research methods, policies, and protocols that shape the standards for producing high-quality findings and evaluation has broadened. Ellah is currently supporting the ANTICIPATE Study, SPARK Study, and the Social Isolation Systematic Review.
