Geil joined the Upstream Lab in September 2022 as a Communications Specialist. Her primary focus is developing strategies to engage with stakeholders and support the lab’s projects, more particularly the CanTreatCOVID study. Geil earned her Communications degree with Provost Honour and Distinction at McMaster University. She completed her Master of Health Science in Translational Research at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Prior to joining the lab, she worked on knowledge translation projects in childhood disability and pediatric rehabilitation research. Her interests are around the affordances of media and strategic communications in translating knowledge, co-designing interventions, and addressing health inequities.
