About
Paolo Marcelo joined the Upstream Lab in October 2024. He holds an MSc in Biopharmaceuticals from King’s College London. He has experience in oncology-focused clinical trials, having worked as a research coordinator and study manager in both the public and private sectors. Paolo’s current academic interest in critical disability studies—a field deeply connected to social justice—ultimately led him to the Upstream Lab, where he hopes to support efforts that drive systemic change. At the lab, Paolo supports a variety of clinical research trials, initiatives, and grant applications.
