Raissa Amany is a Master’s student in the Health Services Research program at the University of Toronto, specializing in Health Outcomes and Evaluation.
Passionate about systems-level change, her research interests focus on participatory methods, knowledge translation, and health equity to advance evidence-informed youth health policy and practice. Under the supervision of Dr. Saadia Sediqzadah, she is developing a patient decision aid to guide patients, family members, and healthcare providers in the management of early-phase psychosis.
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences (Population and Public Health) from the University of Ottawa. Outside of academia, she is a national award-winning social activist recognized for advancing youth engagement in health, and is always on the hunt for hidden-gem cafés or a good rally.
