About
Dr. Saadia Sediqzadah (she/her) is a Scientist at Upstream Lab, MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute. She is a psychiatrist at St. Michael’s Hospital and Inner City Health Associates, with a focus on transitional aged youth, early psychosis intervention, and marginalized populations. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychiatry at Temerty Faculty of Medicine (University of Toronto). She is the Continuing Medical Education lead at the Department of Psychiatry at St. Michael’s Hospital.
She holds a Science Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. During her training, she gained expertise in decision science, and she hopes to build a bridge between the fields of decision science, health economics, and mental health through her research. Outside of research, her writing has been published in The New England Journal of Medicine and The Globe and Mail. In her short career thus far, she has mentored multiple racialized and underrepresented medical students across Canada with career interests in psychiatry and social advocacy in medicine.
