Sheharzad (Sherry) is a general surgery resident at the University of Toronto in the Surgeon Scientist Training Program. She is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Her interests lie at the intersection of surgical oncology, health equity, and health systems access. For her thesis project she is evaluating the implementation of SPARK in surgical oncology clinics at St. Michael’s Hospital. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her favourite basketball team, training for her first Hyrox, or finding the best cocktails in the city.
