Global ROAD to Primary Care
June 29, 2023Global Relationships for Advancing Delivery of Primary Care
A research team led by Dr. Archna Gupta has been awarded the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Planning and Dissemination Grant – Institute Community Support.
The project will bring together experts, including multidisciplinary primary care providers, researchers, academics, and policymakers, to collaborate and identify research priorities for strengthening the healthcare workforce.
Oriented health systems around the world could optimize the healthcare workforce. Strong primary care promotes health equity by addressing gaps in care faced by individuals who lack access due to factors like poverty, gender, race, and living in rural areas and preventing non-communicable diseases. Additionally, this project supports the development of international collaborations and consensus-building to enhance research capacity in primary care.
