Shankavi is a Research Assistant II at the Upstream Lab. She holds a MHSc in Global Health Systems from Western University and a BSc in Honours Biology from the University of Waterloo. Shankavi has previous research experience at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and Mount Sinai Hospital’s Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre. At the Upstream Lab, she contributes to multiple projects including AIM-Viral and CanTreatCOVID, while also assisting with manuscript submissions. She has a strong interest in addressing social determinants of health to improve population health outcomes and is committed to using research as a tool to advocate for systemic changes, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for patients.
