Podcast – On the Front Lines of the Pandemic: Racialized Workers and COVID

Two of our EMPOWER Project’s Advisory Committee members, Debra Slater & one Anonymous Personal Support Workers, were interviewed for a podcast organized by Unifor National Chair in Social Justice and Democracy at Ryerson University as part of their Social Justice Week. They shared their experiences working as a racialized frontline workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic to highlight how systemic racism manifests itself in the Canadian context. Dr. Andrew Pinto and our Research Coordinator, Pinky Hapsari, also described why it is important for us to pay attention to the health and well-being of PSWs.
