Research evidence and knowledge in primary health care (PHC) are crucial in informing policies, service improvements, and potential societal changes. The study aims to understand the measurement and conceptualization of research impact within PHC, the frameworks for evaluating research impact and the benefits and challenges of using them. This protocol outlines the approach for the forthcoming review, which seeks to improve methodologies in assessing research impact within PHC and guide future research work.
